Aerospace fastener manufacturer adds VisionLab
A Kansas-based manufacturer of high-precision aerospace fasteners has purchased a VisionLab-150 3D measuring system from General Inspection, LLC.
VisionLab measures the company's full product range (up to 150mm length and 50mm diameter), and streamlines the process with reduced inspection times. Quality is improved through fast, accurate and complete dimensional data reporting.
The aerospace fastener producer purchased several options to go with the patented 3D gauging technology. The system is equipped with Surface-View for 360° visual defect detection; End-View to inspect head markings and to measure broach features; and Upper Tooling/Bit Kit, which measures recess depth and recess concentricity.
The VisionLab system is a versatile, accurate and fast inspection machine designed to handle a wide range of applications. The system creates detailed customized reports, with graphs and data charts saved in CSV or Excel formats or uploaded to third-party SPC packages.
