New intelligent pre-heater
Nordson Measurement & Control Solutions (formerly NDC Technologies) is launching a new intelligent pre-heating technology for the production of extruded cables.
The Nordson Smart Temp preheater, in the Beta LaserMike product range, is claimed to make the extrusion process faster and easier, while improving product quality and productivity. Features include a touchscreen display, integrated temperature control, easy recipe set-up, auto-range selection and multi-directional line heating.
Operators need detailed product information in order to obtain an accurate open loop. Guesswork can result in temperature discrepancies or inconsistency. With the Smart Temp controller, the facility can run in closed-loop control, which not only improves accuracy but also eliminates operator error when changing wire or adjusting settings, providing consistent results.
