Orbitel unveils Flight Fiber
Orbitel Communications is launching Flight Fiber — 100 percent fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) technology. Amarillo Creek, near the city of Maricopa, AZ, is Orbitel's first community to be 100 percent Flight Fiber. Amarillo Creek is projected to house more than 1,500 homes constructed by various builders.
Orbitel has been expanding Flight Fiber throughout the city of Maricopa, integrating it into new construction areas. Flight Fiber can currently be experienced in the newly built homes of Amarillo Creek, Province, The Lakes, Sorrento, Rancho Mirage, Trails of Maricopa, Copa Flats and El Ranch Santa Rosa. Flight Fiber powers almost 3,000 homes within the city of Maricopa.
More than $6mn has been invested by Orbitel to date to provide Flight Fiber multi-gigabit fiber services to parts of the city of Maricopa. The investments in Maricopa and surrounding areas will provide more choices for the local community and bring the latest fiber technologies to area residents and businesses. These local investments are expected to create jobs, enhance infrastructure and support the area's continued growth.
