Double product launch at Wire Expo
Sonoco Industrial & Specialty Plastics, a division of Sonoco Products Company, co-exhibited with the Sonoco Reels division at Wire Expo in June. The company showcased prototypes for two new products: the redesigned EconoReel spool, which ensures a smooth barrel-to-flange transition, and a DIN 250 spool.
The new EconoReel spool is designed to run a smooth operation, winding everything from insulated wire, rubber, rope, Cat5/Cat6 cable and more, with one sustainable solution that is built to last. A barrel hole on both ends ensures that it cannot be loaded incorrectly. Made from 100 percent recycled materials, the spool is available on 11.75" and 13.5" corrugated flanges with 1.5" or 2" arbor sizes. It is resistant to cold temperatures, and an area is provided for label application.
A prototype of the DIN 250 spool was presented at the company's booth at Wire Expo.
