Rosendahl Nextrom
Rosendahl Nextrom has optimised its manufacturing solutions in both metal conductors and optical fibre in recent years.
The company provides processes for metal data cable production, with an AI-based algorithm to deliver enhanced results in the foaming process. Tighter tolerances and improved electrical properties are enabled. The smart control of gas flow leads to repeatable quality in foaming, and start-up scrap is reduced.
Rosendahl Nextrom recently introduced the first turnkey extrusion line for hairpin insulation with PEEK. The system makes a safe and reliable power supply at 800V+ possible. The robust insulation with high-performance plastic will contribute to reduced charging times and increased ranges by minimising energy losses in electric board systems.
For high-voltage power cables, Rosendahl offers a sustainable concept for forming, welding and jacketing, suited to connecting wind farms, photovoltaic farms and offshore projects to the power grid. The all-in-one solution is versatile and can process different materials and product sizes on a single production line.
In the field of fibre optic cables, a high-speed fibre launching system simplifies continuous PP dry tube production; an entirely redesigned fibre cutter saves time and material waste; and a new die system for jelly filling enhances process stability. A dual-clenching system is claimed to increase production speed up to 25 per cent.
The company also offers an advanced ribbon cable technology for optical performance and mechanical strength.
