Though the company can deliver the whole range of wire manufacturing equipment, its focus in recent years has been on providing coiling and automated solutions. The No Twist Coiler (NTC) portfolio has been developed since 1992, with hundreds of deliveries made. Lämneå Bruk says that wire manufacturers have recorded significant increases in output during wire drawing and uncoiling processes without additional adjustments to the existing line set-up.
The NTC replaces conventional gooseneck and spooling technologies with a unique coiling technique. The machines produce coils up to 4.5 metric tons with twist-free wire in inverted carriers. Every metre of the wire can be run, resulting in no scrap, for maximum productivity. The larger wire package in carriers has the advantage of fewer stops during operation, and offers convenient shipping options. The NTC is also an energy saver, due to the payoff system in inverted carriers.
