Customer service via app
The Clinton Instrument Company, a specialist in spark test technology for the wire and cable industry and inventor of the high frequency sine wave spark tester, has released a new web-based and mobile application to streamline customer service, sales and repair functions. The easy-to-navigate Clinton Support App can be accessed directly from Clinton's website, or downloaded to popular handheld devices.
While the company prides itself on its customer service, it recognised that the process for sending equipment back for service, calibration or repair could be cumbersome, requiring emailing back and forth, and sometimes several phone calls to gather the relevant information.
The new application allows the user to send the required information directly to Clinton's customer service staff. Once the customer registers with the application, all relevant customer information will be sent with each service request, eliminating the need for repeated phone calls.
The user enters the unit's serial number, chooses from a drop-down list of common service request items, and adds notes or photographs to alert the repair department to the nature of the issue. The application then prompts the user with shipping instructions. A repair tag is automatically generated at Clinton, and the company will be ready to provide service as soon as the unit is received in its facility.
Future revisions of the app will include product information, sales and application support. The web version is now available on Clinton's website, and the phone application was scheduled for launch on 1 September (Apple App Store and Google Play).
